Part of our mission at Bunk is to build a world where everone has access to local alternatives to big tech platforms. To this end, we run some free public services. These services are free to use for everyone, but we request that users outside Western North Carolina donate to support the effort.

Here's what we currently offer:

Scuppernong - a private cloud and office suite, and a suitable alternative to things like Google Drive and Office 365. Scuppernong is powered by the open-source Cryptpad project.

Hopniss - a privacy-respecting search engine, and a suitable alternative to big tech search engines. Hopniss is powered by the open-source SearXNG project.

Sweetfern - a chatmail relay for Delta Chat, and a suitable alternative to iMessage, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp (though we do recommend Signal Messenger instead for most people).
